Acid raisins: Most of the raisins produced in Malayer are acid and are exported. Acid raisins are produced using a solution called acid, which increases the drying speed of grapes and their conversion into raisins. Acid is obtained by combining water, potassium carbonate, and vegetable oil in specific proportions. The grapes are placed in this solution for about 1 minute and then spread out in special fields for drying under the sun, and after about 5 days they dry and become acid raisins. The bulk of this product is exported after washing and packaging.
Grape or Golden Raisins: The production method of this product is similar to acid raisins, with the difference that after acidifying the grapes and spreading them out to dry for two or three days, they are covered and sulfur is smoked on them to give them a golden color.
